Blurfnes is a solo Croatian electronic music project created by Lovro Bedenk in 2023, recognized for merging orchestral elements with analog synthesizers and heavy bass influences rooted in trap. With six years of music school studying oboe and piano, including two years of orchestra experience and over 30 solo performances, Blurfnes brings a strong classical foundation into electronic production. Blurfnes now studies audio engineering and sound design, refining both technical and creative approaches to sound.
In 2024, Blurfnes founded Hyard Records and frequently collaborates with Rave Saint and Blueexnetic. The sound of Blurfnes combines orchestral textures with hard synth basses and raw analog synthesis, evolving from an early focus on trap into the development of a personal genre while also contributing to various subgenres of techno with No Time To Waste and Mainstage Suspension. Live performances center on a live looping setup heavily inspired by Paul Kalkbrenner, emphasizing real-time composition, gradual build-ups, and an immersive, performance-driven approach to electronic music.
Blurfnes is now working on a debut album called MVP, due sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. It's a real shift, away from the techno, house, and dance material that made up most of the earlier catalog, and into trap and rage trap. The move makes a certain kind of sense: the heaviness was always there, and the classical training never exactly screamed restraint. Rage trap just gives that energy somewhere more direct to go.
The album also comes with a masked persona. It's tied specifically to MVP and what that project is trying to be, not a reinvention of Blurfnes wholesale, but a distinct mode within it. Anonymous, more confrontational, operating on different terms than the orchestral-electronic work that came before.
MVP is still taking shape, but it's already the clearest statement yet that Blurfnes has never been locked into one sound, just one way of approaching it.
